Hold Peak stands behind the product.
The company stands behind their product. The first one that came wouldn't spin in a stiff wind. I wrote them and they asked if I would like a replacement. I said, yes. In a few days I had a second one and it spins just lifting it out of the box. I love it. It works great and I'm glad the company stands behind their product.

Easy to use and accurate
I’m a mechanic who does a lot of HVAC work. i bought this unit because our shop unit wasn’t very accurate and old. This one is so much better and much easier to use.

Well built
I just bought the HP-846A . I want to balance my HVAC system in my house so I can distribute my furnace air more evenly thru out the house. I've taken readings from each register and was able balance the lower floor to get better heat control. Before I was just guessing when adjusting the registers, this tools takes the guesswork out and I"m really having fun experimenting with it. The instructions could be made a little simpler for us novices, but it's still good instructions. I gave it four stair only because I just started using it.

Easy to use and good documentation. Well made product.
I have used this HVAC monitoring meter for about a week and it seems well made, accurate and surely easy to read and use. I am impressed that the battery box is sealed from moisture by an O-Ring gasket and two small screws. Shows attention to detail by the designer and manufacture. A week of use is too early to say much more but I expect it to have a long and useful life in my tool kit.

great wind meter
I bought this to evaluate my home for wind power generation. It works great! I almost always have the starting speed for my proposed windmill.

Very fun to use for us Weather Geeks.
I am not in the HVAC industry, but this unit is designed for that. I am a weather geek and enjoy monitoring weather. Often I am out and about and want to register what the wind speed is around town. This unit is perfect for that. The display is large and backlit and the numbers are easy to read. The battery compartment has a rubber gasket sealing it from moisture getting in. Overall, I am very pleased with this anemometer.

HoldPeak is much easier to work with than Pyle
I bought a HP-846A and one of the vanes broke off at around 70mph indicated wind speed. I emailed the company a picture of the broken vane and they immediately sent a replacement.
Previously I owned a Pyle PMA90 Digital Anemometer and the same thing happened at around 60 mph indicated air speed. It took a bunch of forms and a couple months to get a replacement.
I can't verify how accurate the instrument is since I don't have a calibrated instrument to compare it to but I will say that HoldPeak is a great company to work with. They are very customer oriented. -
Easy to read screen and seems to be very accurate
Works well. No complaints with it so far. Easy to read screen and seems to be very accurate. I haven't used the data logger feature yet. Everything works well. as advertised

Fits My Needs
Works to the accuracy I need it to. This is not the most precise device based on what I can tell. It is usually off +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit. This product, however, fits my needs perfectly.
